Terms and Conditions

MOOM: The Workshop
A Brand of A Mothers Lore LLC


Effective Date: February 13, 2026

MOOM: The Workshop is owned and operated by A Mother’s Lore LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), located in Watford City, North Dakota.


By accessing this website or purchasing from us, you agree to the following legally binding Terms & Conditions.


1. Business Identity

MOOM: The Workshop is a creative brand operated under A Mother’s Lore LLC. All purchases, transactions, and agreements are made with A Mother’s Lore LLC.


2. Handmade & Natural Materials Disclaimer

Products are handcrafted using materials such as 1/8” basswood plywood, MDF accents, metal hardware, and twine.

Due to the natural and handmade nature of our work:

  • Wood grain, knots, tone variations, and markings will vary
  • Engraving depth and coloration may vary
  • Light char marks are a natural result of laser cutting

These characteristics are inherent to the material and process and are not considered defects.


3. Personalization Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring all submitted personalization details are accurate.

We engrave exactly what is entered. Personalized items are final sale and non-refundable unless damaged in transit.


A Mother’s Lore LLC is not responsible for customer-submitted errors.


4. Digital Products (If Applicable)

If digital downloads are offered:

  • All digital sales are final.
  • No refunds will be issued once files are delivered or accessed.
  • Files are for personal, non-commercial use only.

Unauthorized sharing, reproduction, or resale is prohibited and may result in legal action.


5. Payment, Fraud & Chargebacks

Payment is required in full before production.

We reserve the right to:

  • Refuse or cancel orders
  • Cancel orders suspected of fraud
  • Dispute chargebacks with supporting documentation

If a chargeback is filed without first contacting us for resolution, we reserve the right to submit proof of fulfillment, delivery confirmation, IP address records, and communications to the payment processor.

Fraudulent disputes may be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law.


6. Shipping & Risk of Loss

Risk of loss transfers to the customer once the order is delivered to the shipping carrier.

We are not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays
  • Lost or stolen packages marked delivered
  • Incorrect shipping information entered at checkout

Customers are responsible for ensuring accurate shipping details.


7. Returns & Damages

Due to the handmade and custom nature of our products:

  • Personalized items are final sale.
  • Non-personalized items may be returned within 7 days if unused and in original condition.

Damage claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence.

We reserve sole discretion in determining remedy (repair, replacement, or refund).


8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by North Dakota law, A Mother’s Lore LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits or business interruption
  • Emotional distress

Total liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product.


9. Indemnification

By using this website or purchasing products, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless A Mother’s Lore LLC from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:

  • Product misuse
  • Improper supervision of minors
  • Alteration or modification of products
  • Violation of these Terms
     

10. Intellectual Property

All designs, logos, images, text, and branding are the exclusive property of A Mother’s Lore LLC.

Unauthorized reproduction, resale, or duplication is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.


11. Privacy

Personal information may be collected for order processing and communication. We do not sell customer information.

Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.


12. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, carrier delays, illness, or government actions.


13. Mandatory Arbitration

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or purchases shall be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of North Dakota in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You waive the right to a jury trial.


14. No Class Actions

All disputes must be brought on an individual basis. You waive the right to participate in any class action or collective proceeding against A Mother’s Lore LLC.


15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of North Dakota.

Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in McKenzie County, North Dakota, and you consent to jurisdiction in those courts.


16. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of this website constitutes acceptance of any changes.

Returns & Refunds

Overview

At MOOM: The Workshop, each piece is handcrafted and often made to order. Because of the custom and handmade nature of our products, our refund and return policy is structured to protect both our customers and our business.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.


Personalized & Custom Items

All personalized or custom-made items are final sale.

We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on:

  • Custom name signs
  • Personalized engravings
  • Special order pieces
  • Modified designs requested by the customer 

Customers are responsible for verifying spelling, dates, and details before checkout. We engrave exactly what is submitted.

Customer-submitted errors do not qualify for refunds.


Non-Personalized Items

Non-personalized items may be eligible for return if:

  • Return is requested within 7 days of delivery
  • Item is unused and in original condition
  • Item is returned in original packaging
     

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Shipping fees are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to deny returns that do not meet these conditions.



Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
  • Provide clear photos of the item and packaging

Failure to notify us within 48 hours may void eligibility for replacement.


We reserve sole discretion to determine appropriate resolution, which may include:

  • Replacement
  • Repair
  • Partial refund
  • Store credit
     

Shipping Issues

Once an item has been delivered to the shipping carrier, risk of loss transfers to the customer.

We are not responsible for:

  • Carrier delays
  • Lost or stolen packages marked delivered
  • Incorrect addresses entered at checkout
     

If a package is returned due to incorrect address entry, the customer is responsible for reshipping costs.


Digital Products 

All digital downloads are final sale.

No refunds will be issued once a digital file has been delivered or accessed.

Files are for personal use only and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed.


Chargebacks & Disputes

If a payment dispute or chargeback is filed without first contacting us for resolution, we reserve the right to dispute the claim with:

  • Proof of order confirmation
  • Delivery confirmation
  • IP address records
  • Customer communications

Fraudulent disputes may be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law.


Non-Returnable Items

We do not accept returns on:

  • Personalized products
  • Sale or clearance items
  • Digital downloads
  • Gift cards
     

Limitation of Refunds

Approved refunds (if applicable) will be issued to the original payment method.

Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Refunds may take 5–10 business days to process depending on your financial institution.
